Rāmānanda asks Mahāprabhu to stay a few days so that he may have His association. And he receives a refusal larger than his request: a few days is far too little, I want to spend your whole life with you. Give up your service, move to Purī, and we will perform bhajana together and hear hari-kathā. Yet Rāmānanda's love holds Mahāprabhu too: He stays on in Vidyānagara for a time, and every evening He comes to the bank of the Godāvarī, to a secluded place, and asks his questions again.
