Place mind and senses in the fire of the Name — and they become like fire itself

"Just as you keep iron in a fire, it gives up its cold gray nature and becomes red hot and shining like fire. In the same way, if we put our material mind and senses in the fire of the Holy Name, everything becomes exactly like the spiritual energy."
A cold, gray iron rod stays dark and inert on its own. But put it into the fire, and after a while it glows red, becomes indistinguishable from the flame itself — now it too can burn. Your mind and senses are like that right now — cold, inert, turned toward dead matter. The Holy Name is fire. Place your mind, senses, and intelligence into it through sincere chanting, and gradually they will grow red-hot and become like spiritual energy.
Don't throw the iron away as useless — just keep it in the fire of the Name.
