"If at least in this life we can fix the vision on the sādhya and say: this is the goal, and I am ready to move on — then life will be successful. And from today, live that conviction. Whatever else is there, time will come and steal it anyway."
Fixing the vision on the sādhya is not a feeling but a decision with a date on it. Gurudeva says it plainly: say "this is the highest goal and I am ready to move on" — at any cost, whatever it takes — and this life is a success. And at once he takes away the bargaining: you are not giving up anything you would not have to give up anyway, since time will come and steal it regardless. Picture two pans of a scale. On one, the unlabelled things — everything that will be taken. On the other, one word: rādhā-dāsyam, service to Rādhā. Make the list and examine them one by one. The choice is obvious; what remains is making it today.
Before today's round, say aloud the one word — the goal you have chosen.
